This paper examines the epistemological question: what is the Wallmapu? This essay investigates the spatiotemporal relationships of the polysemic concept of the Wallmapu. This work offers a genealogical study of the concept of Wallmapu and divides its history into four brief sections ranging from its original conception to its contemporary form. The conclusion shows that the Wallmapu, understood as space-time, it is intrinsically linked to a territorial-historical form, and thus its epistemic transformation is modulated by the struggles that the Mapuche peoples have sustained with the Chilean and Argentinean Winka. The research is based on Mapuche authors.
