As part of the craft of sociology, intellectual craftsmanship invites us to constantly rethink our categories of analysis, research methods, social theories, and so on. In Chile today, this exercise imposes itself upon us with tremendous intensity: structures are questioned, social life is shaken and reconfigured, our social bonds are shaken and society is transformed. The question of society can bring us, then, answers that we could not have imagined a few months ago. In this context of uncertainty, Kathya Araujo, PhD in Latin American Studies, accepted our invitation to talk about her intellectual work, her views of the social movement in Chile and her way of approaching the craft of artisanship in telluric times.
