Abstract

The present photographic record recovers some of the scratches that can be read on the walls of Santiago de Chile after the social outbreak of October 2019. From them, I propose a reflection on the demands that have been raised but also about the identities expressing behind the revolt. Deleuze’s words are intertwined with the images giving account of two central ele-ments to understand who are present in the protest: (1) the huge minorities that inhabit the social space, forming what we call “the people” and (2) that both their conformation and their revolutionary potential correspond to a creative process. Can we talk about people waking up or rather of a revo-lutionary crowd?
