Abstract

In this text I rehearse a “rearranging of files” in order to establish some connexions between my fieldwork doing sociology of philosophy and the current Chilean social outburst. I explore the concept of the “tyranny of the present” as a key to navigate between these two disparate topics. I hope that, by highlighting such concept I am in a better position for comprehending the monsters and epistemic, affective and practical tensions existing in both the current moment and the tyranny of its lacks and absences. Expressing feelings, this is an exercise asking the question about “how are we doing” when confronted to the outbreak of the current moment.
