Abstract

In this text I propose to address the richness and depth of Forma valor y forma comunidad. Aproximación teórica-abstracta a los fundamentos civilizatorios que preceden al Ayllu universal, published in its first edition in 1995. The reading focuses on García Linera's theoretical strategy of locating in the notion of "non-capital", understood as community, post-capitalist forms of social and political organization. Despite being a text written more than two decades ago, it highlights the timeliness of his proposal in a context where the left is discussing the normative and practical potential of the community as a principle from which to think about the possibilities of overcoming neoliberalism. The book, like few others, offers an alternative for thinking a post-capitalist society and important lessons in the strategic and political order to move in that direction.
