Marx is dead. That was the title of the Kölner Stadtanzeiger of Cologne (Germany) in the 175th aniversary of Karl Marx's birth, four years after the peak of the crisis of the German Democratic Republic and the upcomming reunification - as it is called in history books- or adoption [Übernahme] -as it is admitted by current day german citizens. With the uninterrupted comming of new and diverse social crisis, there is not only a revival of the curiosity for Marx's societal diagnosis, but also the necessity of making sure of his demise in the field of struggle between ideas. That 'Marx is completely irrelevant', that 'he has nothing else to say', that 'his theory is prisioner of an antihumanist materialism', etc. The important issue is that the disbelief and misunderstanding when confronting the diversity of crisis hitting contemporary society do not add uncertainties to something decidely clear. Marx is death for good and resurrection is only for deities.
