Abstract

The publication of The Economy of Society (Luhmann, 2017 [1988]) in our language comes at a very significant moment for the exegetics of social systems theory. It appears at the same time as the publication of Luhmann's unpublished manuscripts in Germany and with the digitization that, in recent years, has been carried out at the University of Bielefeld of the Zettelkasten, the mythical file of the German sociologist.
