Abstract

Niklas Luhmann's The Economy of Society comes to our hands at a time when the understanding of the economy, its evident autonomy and the profound difficulties we face in addressing the challenges related to it, are recurrently on the table. This is especially important when there are multiple voices constantly denouncing the ecological crisis and the need to develop new ways of relating to natural resources.
