Abstract

The present issue of Cuadernos de Teoría Social proposes a detour that leads to the terra incognita inhabited by theory when it enters into a metaphorical relationship with objects as yet unknown. The invitation is to resume theoretical speculation about the sign under which its room for maneuver is expressed on the planet. An "amphibious" sociology that allows us to change elements as it enters into the vicinity of nature and society. Hence the contributions in the present issue should be read as experimental metaphors in search of the right tone to interpret the keys to the Anthropocene.
