Taking as a starting point the text by Daniel Chernilo (2016), "Between sociology and philosophy: the question of the human", I propose to develop a reflection on three aspects that have to do in a non-trivial way with the interrogation of the human. All three have in common the normative substrate of many of the issues to be addressed. The first aspect emphasizes the double normativity inherent in the work of social science. The second refers to the concern for the determination of anthropological bases and their relation to what we consider morally estimable as humans. The third revolves around the, in my opinion, necessary politicization of reflection on the human.
