This essay explores the intersection of geology and social structures in the Anthropocene epoch. It argues that new geological formations reveal the previously hidden underpinnings of what were considered purely "social" structures. This reconfiguration challenges traditional understandings of accumulation and dispossession, highlighting the geosocial entanglements that shape our world. The article discusses how infrastructure, both material and affective, contributes to these dynamics and examines the role of geoaesthetics in understanding these shifts. The piece emphasizes the importance of considering geological time and processes in analyzing contemporary political and social phenomena.
