In sum, in this issue we are interested in reflecting on the criticisms of the third model identified by Laclau and in thinking about the possibility of the formation of a fourth model in structuralist theory, which responds to new displacements or dislocations in the structures of signification. How do theoretical contributions such as the affective turn and the performative turn in the social sciences or the so-called new materialisms allow us to identify new places of inscription of the structures of signification?
Specifically, we propose to begin this critical reflection by problematizing the Derridean perspective regarding what is or would be outside the text. How do contemporary contributions that arise from Derrida's reflection such as the affective turn, queer theory, actor-network theory and the new pragmatism question or strengthen the author's proposal? What has deconstruction done to social theory, politics and the humanities? What is it that it cannot do or cannot see? What is its blind spot?
